Yoga Class Descriptions & Fees
Vinyasa Flow – 75 mins. An energetic, strong practice with movements that connect one posture to the next in slow asana flow. This practice is designed to heat the body internally, build strength, increase cardiovascular endurance, and calm the mind. This class is geared for the experienced student and is recommended that you have at least 6 months of a recent and consistent practice before beginning.
Power Flow – 75 mins. A fast-paced, vigorous vinyasa practice w/movements that flow continuously from one posture to the next. Increases cardiovascular endurance and strength. This class is geared for the experienced student and is recommended you have at least 6 months of a recent and consistent practice before beginning. This class is NOT recommended for pregnant women.
Core Strength- 60 mins. Dedicated to the core trunk of your body. Learn isolated movements to strengthen your abdominals, back, and hips. This “Power Hour” is all floor work. This class is all levels but is NOT recommended for pregnant women.
Mindful Yoga- 75 mins. A physical, yet relaxing practice that focuses on strength, flexibility, and balance, while encouraging attention and awareness to the breath.
Yoga Sculpt- 75 mins. Incorporates resistance bands into the asana to help keep correct alignment, allowing your body to deepen into poses, creating a more challenging yoga experience.
Discover Vinyasa- 75 min. Vinyasa Yoga synchronizes movement with breath, linking the postures together into a dynamic practice. The breath is used as a constant point of reference for returning to and resting in the present moment. This class is geared for the experienced student and is recommended you have at least 6 months of a recent and consistent practice before beginning.
Ashtanga Primary Series – A dynamic vinyasa style practice designed to build heat and energy in the body using the breath and movement together to create a moving meditation through a set sequence of poses. This class is well suited for students familiar with vinyasa, or flow, style classes.
Form & Alignment- 75 min. Learn how to keep your structural and mental body balanced by focusing on elongating the breath, precise form and proper alignment. This class is suitable for students of every level, from a first timer to advanced.
Continuing Yoga- 75 min. A dynamic yet gentle class which integrates the postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation to harmonize you on every level – body, mind, and spirit. It is a delightful and moving class, which builds on the foundation of your beginning practice adding more complex asanas and additional pranayama. All levels welcome.
Yoga for Flexibility- 75 min. This invigorating practice will help improve flexibility in every part of your body. Combining full breathing techniques with flowing yoga asanas which lengthen and condition the muscles of the body to increase the range of motion and flexibility. This practice will leave you feeling relaxed, revitalized and energized. For all levels.
Yoga For Stress Management- 75 min. Allow yourself to take your practice to a new level by learning to release the physical & mental stress we hold onto. This gentle style emphasizes body awareness & coordinating movement with breath. Take time to stretch tight muscles plus relax… you deserve it!
Sun Salutations- 60 or 75 mins.This precise combination of forwarding bends, back-bends, and inversions awakens the breath and promotes circulation and inner balance through the flow of prana to our creative life force. This class is geared for all levels.
Belly Dance Basics- 60 min. Belly dancing is a great way to have fun, learn something new about yourself and other cultures, express yourself artistically, and beat the blues, all in a relaxed and supportive environment. This dance can be enjoyed by all ages and body types! Beginner is an introductory course for people who have never belly danced before. No dance experience is required. This is an on-going FREE class for members. Drop-ins are welcome. Pre-registration not required.
Continuing Belly Dance- 75 min. Students build upon what they have learned in Belly Dance Basics while continuing to learn the art of belly dance. Occasionally, this class will explore specialties such as veil dancing, finger cymbals, regional folkloric dance, and choreography. The emphasis is still on the fun! Pre-requisite: at least 8 weeks of Belly Dance Basics (or other introductory courses). Offered in 4-week sessions ($45.00). There is a 10% discount given to AHC members who wish to register. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Yoga Studio Policies & Fees: All monthly memberships are for unlimited classes. This means you can come to any of the classes as much as you would like for your entire 30-day membership. The day you choose to join becomes your effective date, and the cancellation date would be 30 days from that date. Example: join on the 12th one month; you are due to pay your membership again on the 12th of the following month. There are no contracts, so if you chose to not renew, there is no paperwork involved to cancel. All Memberships Or Pass Cards are non-refundable and non-transferable. Single class fees will get you into one class, on one day, and are payable before the class begins. Family memberships are for two or more related individuals living at the same address. Student memberships are for middle and high school, or college students age 13 and up, full or part-time. Senior memberships are for people age 55 and above. We accept cash or checks only for payments. Checks can be made out to AHC. There are never any hidden fees, registration, or initiation fees and your first class are ALWAYS complimentary. Please remember to arrive on time for your class.
Single Person- $55.00 per month. Family- $75.00 per month. Student- $40.00 per month (w/school ID). Senior Citizen- $45.00 per month. Kids Yoga- $60.00 per month, pre-registration required (or use Family Plan). Single Class- $15.00 per class. (Payment Is due before class begins.) 5-Class Pass Card- $60.00 per card. 10-Class Pass Card- $90.00 per card. The pass card is ideal for anyone who travels often and is only able to come sporadically. Passcards are kept on file at the studio and MUST be presented each time you attend a class so that it can be initiated by staff. There is a 12-week expiration on all pass cards.
